"A bold choice, Ghent, spring 2023"

Yesterday, I embarked on a journey to Ghent, carrying two large paintings with me. The challenge was to pick the best painting for the spot my friend had in mind. Admirably, she decided to boldly hang a large painting in the limited space between two doors. The decision-making process proved to be tough, as the saying goes, "choosing is losing." 

Located in a street full of authentic facades, I arrived at the beautiful old house of my friend, with walls in dark blue and burgundy colours, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Over some delightful eclairs, we carefully examined both options, and it became evident that the vibrant and colourful painting was the winner. I felt content with the outcome.
