It's that time of the year again, time to reflect on the year that has passed and looking forward to what the next year will bring.

2014 was a weird year, I had setbacks such as getting fired, major dusty home-renovations, but nevertheless I was able to get to a certain artistic level and I have written and read a lot more. I was able to clean up my website and get it into a certain structure, I have reached the 500-followers-milestone on Twitter and finally made a page for my art on Facebook. A lot of progress on a lot of levels. So I'm really content about what I've achieved in 2014.

So what will bring 2015? I hope a lot of the same, but always better and more. I have just been notified I'm listed in the collection of The Real World: New Figurative Art by Catherine Henning from SaatchiArt. I will be represented at the Affordable Art Fair in Brussels in February by ekspose.me, something I'm really looking forward to. There might also be an event in december, for which I don't have details yet.

I don't know yet how some of the things I have started in 2014 will turn out. I'm very curious about how my pull-off dresses will evolve in 2015, or it might turn out into someting new and better?

The painted sketches on top of this page are preparations for a big (100 by 120 centimeter) painting that has been left unfinished for many years. I liked the black and white, but after the many hours I have spent in my studio during the last months, I was ready now to add some colour. 2015 will be the year of of picking up things and leaving nothing unfinished.

Bring it on! ;)
