I continued my walk towards the Korenmarkt and the Veldstraat. In front of me, I noticed an interesting contrast of bikes, people passing by and shops in the background.

I'm always looking for scenes that are already minimalistic and that have the potential to become abstract compositions. I can further simplify them and only keep enough suggestion for the viewer to make an interpretation. 

I have added two images of the above work when it was in progress. It shows how I build up the scene, adding one color at a time.
